ManyChat is making updates to the Free and Pro plans, effective September 1, 2021. Please read through this article carefully as you have one or multiple accounts affected by these changes.
Please note: The updates listed in this article apply to accounts that are self-managed and not managed by a ManyChat Agency Partner.
Effective September 1, 2021, we’re making some important updates to features on the Free plan and our Pro pricing structure. Please review the following updates carefully.
All ManyChat Free plans will have a new limit of (3) custom Keywords and a limit of (1) user seat per account:
Changes to the Free plan listed above are effective on September 1, 2021 for all new and existing accounts. There will be no changes to the features on ManyChat Pro.
New ManyChat Pro plans created on or after September 1, 2021 will be subject to new Pro pricing, which begins at $15/month for up to 500 subscribed contacts:
Pro pricing will still be based on the number of subscribed contacts you have for your ManyChat account. Unsubscribed or deleted contacts will not count towards your contact limit.
For any Pro accounts that use ManyChat’s SMS channel with a U.S. or Canadian number, we will be releasing updated SMS pricing and a new registration process to meet the requirements of the new SMS A2P 10DLC regulations imposed by U.S. carriers on September 1, 2021. Learn more.
How do these changes affect my account?
If you have a Free account:
On September 1, 2021, all existing Free accounts will be impacted by the updates noted above. This means that if you have a Free account that exceeds these limits on this date, you’ll need to upgrade this account to Pro in order to continue sending messages to contacts.
You may upgrade your existing Free plan to Pro before September 1, 2021 to lock in current Pro pricing through March 1, 2022. If you upgrade your account to Pro after September 1, 2021, your Pro account will be subject to new Pro pricing.
Please note: If you cancel this Pro plan and decide to upgrade the account to Pro again after September 1, 2021, your account will be subject to the new Pro pricing.
If you have a Pro account:
All active Pro accounts as of September 1, 2021, will be offered their current monthly Pro price through February 28, 2022. The new Pro pricing for these accounts will take effect on March 1, 2022. Your Pro account must be active on September 1, 2021 in order to keep current Pro rates through this date.
No action is needed for your active Pro account on March 1, 2022. Your monthly Pro cost will update automatically on this date and the credit card on file will be charged.
Please note: If you cancel an active Pro plan and decide to upgrade the account to Pro again after September 1, 2021, the account will be subject to the new Pro pricing.

If you have a Pro account with 200K+ contacts:
If you have an active Pro account with more than 200K contacts on September 1, 2021, there will be no changes to your Pro pricing and this account will keep its current flat rate of $835/month, indefinitely.
Your Pro account with 200K+ contacts must be active on September 1, 2021 in order to qualify for this exclusive Pro pricing. Learn more about how accounts with more than 200K contacts are impacted by these plan updates.
