U.S. State System Field

Overview 

ManyChat enriches contact data with U.S. State data for all accounts that

  • have sms channel enabled
  • store phone numbers in a system field

U.S. state field can be used as a condition in the flows for multiple cases:

  1. Customize the message based on geography
  2. Comply with the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) (generally it allows communication from 8 a.m to 9 p.m., yet in Florida, the state TCPA shortens the time window from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.)


How it works

When you save phone number in a Phone System Field, ManyChat defines a U.S. state based on phone number prefix and add this info in the corresponding field.
